Professional work experience applies to those who have accumulated experience through full-time work in a field where you have incorporated the theoretical knowledge you acquired during your education. Depending on the program, a minimum of 1 to 5 years of professional work experience must be provided. Adding up several job experiences is also possible and should be indicated in your CV.

Depending on the program you are applying to, the reference process differs slightly:

  • Full-Time M.Sc. applicants can upload an existing academic or professional reference letter.

  • Full-Time MBA, Executive MBA, and Part-Time M.Sc. Management & Engineering applicants must request a reference via the official reference request form as part of the application.

In principle, your letter of recommendation can be written by any person. Ideally, the referee should hold a higher-ranking position and be able to evaluate your performance objectively. There is no fixed template - the letter should not exceed two pages and must include:

  • Relationship to you as the applicant

  • An objective assessment of your qualities, achievements, and ambitions in your respective field

  • The referee’s contact details

We are also happy to accept job references if they meet the above requirements.

Important: Each letter must include a proof of authenticity (e.g., signature, stamp).

No. The Early Bird discount cannot be combined with any of our scholarships.

The scholarship outcome will be announced together with your admission.

Yes, you can apply for a RWTH Business School scholarship even if you are applying for external scholarships. Kindly indicate in your application form if you are applying or plan to apply for other scholarships and include your application timeline. This information helps us with enrollment planning and prioritization of candidates applying for scholarships such as DAAD, LPDP, and Colfuturo. Please be assured that providing this information will not affect your eligibility for our scholarships.

Admission PhaseSecure Your Place!

Upon successful admission, you will receive an offer, outlining the key details of your studies with us. When you accept the offer, you will be provided with a study contract, outlining the payment plan and further modalities.

Once you sign the contract and transfer the first semester tuition fee payment, you will be able to start your enrollment at RWTH Business School and RWTH Aachen University.

Important Information for Applicants Requiring a Visa

As soon as you receive your admission letter, please book a visa appointment and begin preparations early to ensure you can start your studies on time, if possible.
All relevant information regarding the specifics of applying for a German National Visa can be found on the website of the embassy/consulate in your respective region.

Note: Some German consulates also cooperate with commercial partners such as VFS Global, TLScontact or Visametric, which process biometric appointments for the consulates. If you are already residing or studying in Germany, you may apply for a residence permit directly in Aachen instead of a student visa.
