Asking Tobias Grün

RWTH Business School: Why did you decide for the MME TIME program from RWTH Business School?

Tobias: The opportunity to study at the renowned RWTH Aachen University and the MME TIME program, linking state of the art technologies and management, aroused my interest in the first place. Combined with an intercultural study environment and the flexibility to participate part-time, convinced me to apply for this program.

RWTH Business School: What do you like the most about the MME TIME program?

Tobias: I particularly like working in small intercultural groups with close contact to the professors as well as the program’s approach to not only deliver theoretical knowledge through lectures but also fostering the direct application of the learnings in form of group work, case studies or presentations based on recent industry examples.

RWTH Business School: How is it like to study the program as a part-time learner next to your job?

Tobias: It is demanding but as the program can be tailored to your own needs and pace, it gives you the greatest possible flexibility to balance both job and course workload. Personally, I can directly apply some of the content in class at work which supports my learning progress.

RWTH Business School: What did you learn (so far) during the MME TIME program, which is important to be professionally and personally successful?

Tobias: Personally, working together with a variety of different cultures and personalities fosters my intercultural competences and learning. Professionally, the program broadened my mindset and allows me to look at things from different perspectives.

RWTH Business School: What has been your greatest challenge?

Tobias: Balancing job and studies can be challenging, especially when several group works and presentations of different modules are due at the same time.

RWTH Business School: What does the MME TIME program mean for you and your future?

Tobias: The program supports me in advancing my interdisciplinary and intercultural mindset at the intersection of state-of-the-art technologies and management. It equips me with the right skills and toolset to cope with future managerial, technological and societal challenges in increasingly global ecosystems.

RWTH Business School: What should future students know about the MME TIME program?/ What is your advice to those interested in the MME TIME program?

Tobias: From a part-time learner perspective, the program really offers you a great degree of flexibility in structuring the course around your job. Hence being not physically present in Aachen, the blended learning approach combined with small group sizes allows for a close communication with the professors, university staff and fellow students.

RWTH Business School: Describe the MME TIME program in one word!

Tobias: Advanced.
