Prof. Dr. Michael Barrett is academic director of Cambridge Digital Innovation and a distinguished visiting professor for innovation at the Stockholm School of Economics. He has published in many leading IS (information system) and organisational journals and won several Best Paper Awards at EGOS and the Academy of Management (AOM). In 2016, Professor Barrett was awarded the Distinguished Scholar Award by AOM’s OCIS department. Michael Barrett worked as an industrial engineer at Colgate Palmolive and was awarded the Most Valuable Employee Award for consulting and business development at Oracle Canada.
He continues to work in research and education for a number of organizations including Thomson Reuters, Statoil, China, BT, IBM, HP, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Coventry Building Society, Shell Exploration and the World Health Organization.
