David Antons is a researcher, keynote speaker and corporate advisor on innovation management, corporate strategy, and decision making. He is Co-Director of the Institute of Technology and Innovation Management and professor at RWTH Aachen University.

Dr. David Antons studied Business Administration at RWTH Aachen University and Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok. In September 2017 he became Associate Professor at the TIME Research Area after rejecting calls to the universities of Bochum and Mainz. He completed his PhD in Technology and Innovation Management in 2013. He worked closely with the Institute of Psychology at RWTH Aachen University. In 2013 he became a postdoctoral fellow at the Chair of Innovation, Strategy and Organization. His habilitation examines the application of text mining methods in management. Research stays took him to the University of Cambridge, UK, and to the University of Melbourne, Australia.

His research interests include working with organisations in high and low-tech industries and the healthcare sector. David Antons is regarded as an expert for a broad array of strategic and innovation management topics ranging from individual level decision-making biases over digitalized technology acquisition and business model innovation to the interplay of digital transformation and organizational reputation.
