Instagram competition "My Summer Story"

The organizer and responsible for organizing the competition is RWTH Aachen Business School GmbH, Campus-Boulevard 30, 52074 Aachen. The competition is not connected to Instagram and is not sponsored, supported or organized in any way by Instagram. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the competition should not be directed to Instagram, but to RWTH Aachen Business School GmbH.

The “My Summer Story” competition is subject to the following conditions:

Participation

The closing date for entries is Monday, 19.08.2019, 24:00 .

Participation is free of charge and independent of any purchase or other conclusion of contract.

In order to participate in the competition, you have to upload your own picture (or video) to your Instagram feed on the topic “My Summer Story”. When uploading the picture, tag @rwthbusinessschool and use #MyRWTHBSSummerStory.

Each participant may only participate once and only with one Instagram account and confirms to be the rightful owner of any and all (intellectual) property rights related to the uploaded or sent material.

Eligibility to participate

Eligible are persons who are at least 18 years old at the time of participation. Employees of the RWTH Business School and their relatives are excluded from participation.

Implementation and processing

The winners will be selected at random from all participants who meet the conditions.

The following prizes will be awarded:

       3×1 beech wood deck chair

Legal recourse is excluded. The prize is personal and non-transferable. The prize cannot be exchanged for other products, services or cash.

Notification of winnings

The winners will be notified via Instagram Direct Message from Monday, 26.08.2019 onwards. In the event of an undeliverable prize notification, the RWTH Business School is not obliged to investigate further. In order to accept the prize, winners shall answer via Instagram Direct Message by Friday, 30.08.2019, 12:00 am, in order to agree on a procedure for the handover of the prize. If the winners fail to do so, they will not be entitled to receive the prize and a new winner will be chosen. The prize will only be handed out if it is collected on site.

Exclusion of participants

The organizer reserves the right to exclude participants who use multiple email addresses, Instagram accounts or the like to increase the chances of winning, technically manipulate the competition or the game process or otherwise violate these conditions of participation from participation in the competition at any time and without prior notice. In the event of exclusion, prizes and advantages may also be subsequently withdrawn and reclaimed. The participation of lottery agencies and other automatically generated mass mailings is expressly excluded and will not be taken into account when determining the winners.

Disruption and suspension of the competition

The organizer cannot be held responsible for any technical faults, in particular failures of the telephone network, the network, the electronics or the computer. The organizer reserves the right to suspend the competition in whole or in part if any difficulties arise which jeopardize the integrity of the competition. The entrant accepts any necessary changes to the competition due to other factors beyond the control of the companies involved in the implementation of the competition.

Privacy policy

We process your data to contact the winners. Participation in the competition requires the submission of data that corresponds to the actual data of the participant. Incorrect information can lead to the exclusion of contests and from the possible prize. The collection of the transferred personal data serves exclusively for the execution of the sweepstakes. The participant is responsible for the accuracy of the data provided.

Insofar as personal data of the participants (name, address, gender, user name, user identification number, networks, profile picture, title picture and all other information which the participant publicly shares on Instagram or Facebook) are collected in the context of the competition, these will be used and stored by the responsible person in the sense of data protection law (RWTH Aachen Business School GmbH, Campus-Boulevard 30, 52074 Aachen; e-mail: privacyguard@business-school.rwth-aachen.de) exclusively for the purpose of conducting the competition. The data collected is used for clear identification and notifications of winning in case of a win and will be blocked for further use after the final processing of the competition and deleted after expiry of the tax and commercial retention periods. The legal basis for the processing of personal data to fulfil this obligation is therefore Article 6 (1) lit. b GDPR. If the data collected is not made available to the person responsible in the sense of data protection law, it is not possible to take part in the competition or to contact him with regards to a prize notification. The collected data will not be passed on to third parties unless the transfer is necessary for the execution of the competition or the transfer is justified under data protection law.

Insofar as the person responsible processes the participant’s personal data in accordance with data protection law, the participant is entitled to the data protection rights set out in § 34 BDSG and Art. 13 et seq. of the German Data Protection Act. DSGVO: right to information, right to correction, right to deletion, right to limitation of processing; right to information, right to data transferability, right of objection; right to revoke the declaration of consent under data protection law, right to appeal to a supervisory authority at the location of the responsible person in the sense of data protection law.

The participant declares the correctness and completeness of the personal data provided. False and/or incorrect information may lead to exclusion from the competition. Final provisions

The competition is subject to German law. Should individual provisions of these conditions of participation be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining conditions of participation. They shall be replaced by the statutory provisions.
