Together with our partner edX, we leverage this strength to make some of our courses accessible to participants from all over the world free of charge. These online courses are self-paced and will allow you to study, where and when it is most convenient for you. Upon successful completion of an online course, an official certificate can be obtained for a small fee. This will allow you to gain credit for selected RWTH Business School programs.

Together with edX, RWTH Business School is offering the RWTHx MicroMasters Credential “Managing Technology & Innovation: How to deal with disruptive change”. Here, you will learn how to lead an organization to success by anticipating and leveraging disruptive change brought about by technology and market trends. FROM DIGITAL TO ON-CAMPUS
RWTHx's MicroMasters Credential enables you to combine your online learning experience with on-campus work at RWTH Business School in Aachen, Germany. Upon completion of the RWTHx MicroMasters Credential, participants are eligible to apply for the M.Sc. Management and Engineering in Technology, Innovation, Marketing and Entrepreneurship (MME-TIME), a blended learning program that is partly residential, partly online. Participants will be credited 15 ECTS for having completed the Credential, which will count towards the 90 ECTS required for graduating with the MME-TIME degree from RWTH Aachen University.
Are there any prerequisites for taking part in online learning?
No, everyone interested in the topic of our courses is eligible for participation. We do, however, recommend meeting certain prerequisites (e.g., basic knowledge of business administration and math) to ensure that you can follow the courses more easily.

What types of programs are offered?

Is there any additional online content coming in the near future?

How do the programs differ from on-campus courses at RWTH Aachen University?
Our online learning offering is based on established on-campus courses offered at RWTH Business School and RWTH Aachen University. While the content of the online and the on-campus courses is similar, there are additional case studies, tutorials and guest lecturers offered on campus that complement the theoretical content taught in the online courses.
How much time do I have to invest to enroll in an online course?
Our digital courses typically require you to spend approximately 6-10 hours per week over the course of 6 weeks, not including any additional time required to prepare for the final exam.
Do I have to stick to a prescribed schedule?
While the courses are instructor-led and stretch out over the course of six weeks, you are usually free to watch the lecture videos and work at your own pace. New content for each week is published sequentially but all deliverables can still be sent in until the end of the course.
Do I have to pay for the online content?
You can participate in our digital courses free of charge. That said, there is the option of upgrading to a verified track in order to get access to exclusive content and receive an official RWTHx certificate at the end of the course.
Do I get a certificate after successfully completing an online course?
Each learner that has upgraded to the verified track will receive an official certificate after successful completion of one of our courses.
How do I benefit from a certificate?
When earned in the course of a MicroMasters program, the ECTS credited for having completed the course will count towards the 90 ECTS required for graduating with an on-campus degree, the MME-TIME.
How can I use a certificate to gain credit for a Master's program at RWTH University?

Will a certificate facilitate admission to a Master's program at RWTH University?
