The Chair of Service and Technology Marketing (STM) under the direction of Prof. Dr. Paluch is part of the Research Area “Technology, Innovation, Marketing & Entrepreneurship” (TIME). The Research Area pursues an ambitious teaching and research program with a clear focus on the conception, development and commercialization of technological innovations. This includes not only elements of economic and business research, but also attempts to build bridges to the engineering and natural sciences.

Prof. Dr. Stefanie Paluch has headed the Chair of Service and Technology Marketing at RWTH Aachen University since 2014. She researches and teaches on innovative topics such as risk and frustration in dealing with smart technologies in a business-to-business context. Stefanie Paluch was awarded the Rudolf-Chaudoire Prize for her research. Stefanie Paluch studied economics and social sciences at the University of Dortmund and at the Ceram Business School in France with a focus on international management, corporate management and marketing. After graduating, she worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Marketing at the Technical University of Dortmund. Her dissertation on Customer Perception of Remote Service Technologies was awarded the Dissertation Prize of the TU Dortmund in 2011. Since May 2012 she has been junior professor for service and technology management at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences of the Technical University of Dortmund and since October 2013 she has held the Chair for Innovation and Start-up Management.
