
After five years as a freelance lecturer parallel to his activities at RWTH Aachen University, Christoph Heinen and Andreas Nill founded MARGA Business Simulations GmbH together with ESMT in 2007. From 1997 to 2002, Dr. Christoph Heinen was a senior lecturer in the Executive MBA of the University of St. Gallen and then, until 2007, a head of studies in the Executive MBA for Technology Managers at RWTH Aachen, the University of St. Gallen and the Fraunhofer Technology Academy. Christoph Heinen regularly holds teaching positions at various universities. From 2002 to 2007, Dr. Christoph Heinen headed the RWTH International Academy GmbH, the RWTH Aachen Training Academy and the WZLforum GmbH, the training company of the Machine Tool Laboratory of the RWTH Aachen and the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology. After studying business administration at the University of Fribourg/Switzerland, Dr. Christoph Heinen worked from 1994 to 2002 at the University Seminar of Economics, USW, Schloss Gracht, (today ESMT, European School of Management and Technology) as a research assistant and lecturer for business management seminars. In 1998 he took over the management of the business simulation MARGA. At the same time, he earned his doctorate as an external doctoral candidate at the Chair of Business Administration, in particular Controlling, of the Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf.
